2024 RASEM Professional Awards Nomination

REALTOR® of the Year

Each local Association is urged by the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® to select, as its REALTOR®  of the year, one outstanding REALTOR® member who has made the greatest contribution to the advancement of the real estate profession and the community at large from January 1 of the previous year to the present time (the last 18 months). RASEM's Nominating Committee is charged with selecting a candidate.

From local Association REALTORS® of the Year, one will be selected as the Massachusetts REALTOR®  of the Year by the MAR Awards and Recognition Committee. Recognition of this individual and all local Association REALTORS® of the Year will be made by the State Association the afternoon of its Awards & Recognition Luncheon.

The purpose of this award is to give recognition to deserving REALTOR® for effort, time and talent expended in the interest of their fellow REALTORS®, their profession and their community. You can nominate yourself or any member of the Association.

 

CATEGORIES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

LOCAL ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES (within the last 18 months)

Contribution of member to the local Association for furtherance of its objectives and attendance/participation in local association activities

STATE ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES (within the last 18 months)

Activity of member in support of the State Association and furtherance of its objectives and attendance/participation in state association activities

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES (within the last 18 months)

Support given to National Association activities, committee work and participation in institute affairs and attendance/participation in national association activities

COMMUNITY SERVICE (within the last 18 months)

Activities connected with work in the Chamber of Commerce, youth and religious groups, etc.; cultural contributions to community; civic club memberships and offices; public welfare campaigns. Political offices held (National, State, Local) whether with or without pay, such as mayor, city council, commissioner, court, school board, assessor, various boards (such as park, planning, zoning, etc.); and activities in connection with bond issues and referenda in which real estate is concerned. Please include a description of the organizations and your level of involvement, e.g. how much time spent, specific activities, offices held. etc.

BUSINESS ACCOMPLISHMENTS (within the last 18 months)

The criterion here is not the number of dollars earned, but the public recognition gained from the manner in which he/she conducts his/her business, such as the outstanding advertising program; successful rehabilitation work; imaginative and creative land utilization; local press recognition of his/her stature as a REALTOR®; general reputation for professional competence, etc. Please include a description of the organizations and your level of involvement, e.g. how much time spent, specific activities, offices held, etc.

Affiliate of the Year

The Affiliate of the Year award recognizes one Affiliate member annually for their exemplary association participation, business experience, conduct, civic activity and industry involvement from January 1 of the previous year to the present time. RASEM’s Nominating Committee is charged with selecting a candidate from submitted applications or a member they deem to be qualified. Affiliate members can nominate themselves or any affiliate member of the association. REALTOR® members may also nominate an Affiliate member.

REALTOR® Party Advocate of the Year

The REALTOR® Party Advocate of the Year award recognizes a member who actively engages in promoting REALTOR® legislative/regulatory issues on the local, state and/or national level, responds to calls for actions, contributes to RPAC and is involved in advocacy meetings and events from January 1 of the previous year to the present time (the last 18 months). RASEM's Nominating Committee is charged with selecting a candidate from submitted applications or a member they deem to be qualified. Members can nominate themselves or any member of the association.

 

CATEGORIES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

REALTOR® PARTY ADVOCACY (within the last 18 months)

Explain how the nominee has promoted REALTOR® legislative/regulatory issues on the local, state and/or national level, has responded to Calls for Action and has contributed to RPAC. Please be sure to add any political offices held (National, State, Local) whether with or without pay, such as mayor, city council, commissioner, court, school board, assessor, various boards (such as park, planning, zoning, etc.); and activities in connection with bond issues and referenda in which real estate in concerned. Also, include the nominee's level of involvement in the local, state and/or national association's REALTOR® Party, e.g. how much time spent and specific activities.

Community Service Champion

The Community Service Champion award recognizes a member who Demonstrates excellence in volunteerism, community service, national service, civic, social or corporate responsibility, plays a leading role in advocating for volunteerism in local communities and/or provides an outstanding contribution to community service efforts from January 1 of the previous year to the present time (the last 18 months). RASEM’s Nominating Committee is charged with selecting a candidate from submitted applications or a member they deem to be qualified. Members can nominate themselves or any member of the association.
